4-H Horse Update - 2015 AZ State Horse Show / Survey

Happy Holidays !!

Thank you for attending, spectating or volunteering at our 2015 show !

Overall it went very well, we had a few hurdles to overcome and appreciate everyone stepping up to help.
  • Had to find a Western replacement judge a day before the show due to prior judge had a severe injury
  • Had to find a replacement English judge due to schedule conflict
  • Rain & Cold on Sunday
  • A few last minute class cancellations

2015 State Horse Show Survey
  • In preparation for next year we are asking for feedback on last years event and options/ideas for the upcoming event.
  • Please respond by January 4th so we can compile feedback for our planning meeting
  • This is a quick 5 minute anonymous survey to provide your input and make a difference and enable the leadership group to make adjustments.  We are looking to offer additional contests, adjust schedules, etc and would love ideas.
  • Please forward to any other 4-H members who are interested in attending next year and/or were a spectator last year
    • https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MBBRST5
Volunteers
  • Reminder, this is mostly a parent run volunteer show which means we are all learning and we have the power and motivation to evolve and change.  Every step of the show last year was run by agents, volunteers and parents, many of first timers.
  • Some areas of opportunity:
    • Board Member Elections are coming up for the State Horse Show Committee in the next month
    • Needing English, Western, Roping, Gymkhana, Ranch Sorting superintendents to coordinate and lead those events with support from many others
    • Content Superintendents (photo, poster, t-shirt, cover art)
    • Learning Event Superintendent (looking to have an activity or 3 at the event - judging, clinic)
    • Please feel free to respond to this email if you have interest in volunteering so we ensure you get the details to attend the next committee meeting.

Website for the State Horse Show

We have  a website to keep track of announcements, show information, volunteer schedules, etc.

I would recommend adding it to “favorites” and visiting to subscribe to receive updates (provide your email on the front page)

We look forward to making the 2016 event even better.  All feedback is desired and appreciated.
